Welcome To SaberSox!

That's right, boys and girls. With another Met season in the crapper, the Red Sox have moved up from #2 on the depth chart to become the primary target of my faithful cheering until another inevitable October collapse at the hands of the Empire sucks the life out of the downtrodden population of New England.

More to follow, fellow members of the Nation.

Nice! It's funny, I was just thinking about how I'm checking the Sox' place in the standings a whole lot more than everything else.

Red Sox-Cubs all the way, baby!

The whole SaberSox thing is purely in jest, as I am a die-hard Met sufferer. Regardless of how many games they lose, top prospects they trade away, and missteps the front office makes, a day without a Mets game is a sad day indeed.

The Sox are just so much more interesting this time of year than the Mets have been of late, and I sure do love to hate the Yankees.

I pulled my two Sox shirts out of the closet, including the Reverse the Curse, 2003 ALCS shirt I got for $5 last year after they lost.

I'm wearing my Manny shirt I got at Fenway two years ago at work today as we speak.

Heh, funny, I bought my Manny shirt this year when I went to Fenway...
