Wintah Meetings

Okay, the Winter Meetings are upon us. What does everyone think the Mets will do in the next three days? I'm hoping it's sign Carlos Delgado and J.D. Drew and not Richie Sexson and Moises Alou, as rumors indicate.

Comments

I'm with you, Eric. I'm surprised there's no reported interest in Delgado, especially after Sexson was offered arbitration. No one is talking about JD Drew, either, which is infuriating.

deals are close with delgado and alou some sources indicate. I hope sexson stays far away from shea....like the AL West..... 50 flyouts that could advance runners is better than 50 ABs of sexson sitting on a bench in the dugout. Alou isn't the best choice either but hes a good player who puts up the same numbers each year as he gets older (like reggie sanders) The winter meetings was a chance for Minaya and co. to introduce ideas and get feed back from others....Minaya has made certain to claim, he won't made a deal that he gets the short end on. that allows for future and present benefits. Minaya will make a big signing or move b4 the end of the year (and hopefully a right one). I hope that the young infield stays together...a healthy year as a whole could show the potential that a lot of teams and baseball minds question the mets of having....in my mind
